Event: Second Sino-India Dialogue on Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Policies

2nd China-India Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Joint Research Workshop was organized by Chinese Academy of Science and Technology for Development (CASTED), Beijing, China and CSIR-National Institute of Science, Technology & Development Studies (CSIR- NISTADS), New Delhi, India at CASTED, Yuyuantan South Road, Haidian District, Beijing, 100038 from 16-18th Dec. 2019.
The workshop focussed on carrying out deliberations about China and India’s scientific and technological innovation policy and related issues. The workshop covered following themes:
- Technology predictions and key national technology choices
- Orientation and changes in emerging industry policies
- Technological innovation in water, energy; agriculture and rural development sector
- Science and technology innovation policies that promote social development
- Construction and management of the science and technology park
Prof. Rupinder Tewari, Coordinator, DST-CPR at PU, Chd. was an invited speaker for the workshop and gave his presentation in the session ‘Science and Technology Foresight and National Key Technology Choice’. Prof. Tewari delivered a talk on ‘Strengthening Innovation Ecosystem in Developing Countries: Working in Systems, not Silos’.
