- Launch of ‘Activity Booklet’ for the session 2023-2024 by Professor Renu Vig, Vice Chancellor of Panjab University, Chandigarh on 07 August 2024. The Activity Booklet includes studies carried out for the session 2023-2024 as well as significant achievements by successfully facilitating multiple meetings, and seminars in the domain of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs), Industry Academia collaborations, Private sector Incentivisation, and Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) pertaining to strengthen the R&D ecosystem of India. A book titled “Science, Technology and Innovation Ecosystem: An Indian and global prospective” focussing on the Science, Technology, and Innovation ecosystems of India in a comparative analysis with other innovation-backed global countries is also launched today. - Dr. Ravneet Kaur, Project Scientist-III, DST- Centre for Policy Research, Panjab University, Chandigarh, (India) has been selected for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for 2024 KISTEP-ISTIC S&T INNOVATION TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR HIGH LEVEL POLICY MAKERS “Empowering Tomorrow: Advancing S&T Policies with Technology Foresight” 23 – 26 July 2024, Kuala Lumpur. She will be among the 15 participants selected from Asia for UNESCO sponsored program jointly organized by South Korea and Malaysia partners of above program.
- A report on the study entitled “Technology Transfer Centres to increase commercialization of innovations in India” being carried out by the DST – Centre for Policy Research, Panjab University under the Facility for Low Carbon Technology Deployment (FLCTD) project which is supported by United Nations Industrial Development Organization, New Delhi was presented to Professor Renu Vig, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University (PU). Prof. Kashmir Singh, Coordinator, DST – Centre for Policy Research, Panjab University apprised the Vice Chancellor, PU about the need, key observations, major findings and recommendations. The study aims to strengthen India’s innovation ecosystem by enhancing technology transfer function in various higher education institutes and research laboratories. View
- Formal signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between DST-Centre for Policy Research (CPR), Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh and Doon University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. held on 12 Feb., 2024 in the presence of worthy Vice Chancellor of Doon University Prof. (smt.) Surekha Dangwal. MoU will strengthen the cooperation between the two institutions in the domain of Science, Technology and Innovation, Public Policy and other Science disciplines e.g., Education, public private partnerships, Industry-academia collaborations, intellectual property rights, science communication, science diplomacy, etc. View

Knowledgentia Consultants is an International Intellectual Property and Corporate law firm. The MoU will cater capacity building on Intellectual Property (IP) and will give exposure to the students and faculty of the university for guiding and enhancing them to upgrade their existing knowledge on IP, so as to with the support and guidance from the law firm they can opt for more and more filling Patents.View
