The panellists discussed the following points during the discussion.

  • Multidisciplinary is the order of the day and proper structure is needed for this.
  • Each stakeholder should understand his/ her responsibility.
  • In present scenario, research students and scholars do not come for start-ups because they lack information about entrepreneurship and TT. Therefore, some orientation courses in this regime should be carried out for the students from time to time.

  • While citing the example of Amity University, it was suggested to make appropriate thematic energy clusters and profile the people according to their creativity and skills. Following this approach, 15 technologies have been transferred to industry from Amity University.
  • Utilization of HR: In TTOs we need to inculcate qualified skilled people to enable effective partnership programs. E.g. University of Texas has actually did commercialization and has utilized HR wisely.
  • Well planned ecosystem is required because it depends on different funding agencies and different stakeholders for TT. Therefore, multiple stakeholders and flexible system is imperative for TT.
  • Incentives like some percentage of credits given to innovator group boosts them up for undergoing innovative research.
  • A commitment from management group is required to indulge completely in TT paradigm approach.
