Event: Pre-Screening Meeting of Agro-Tech Proposals  under Technology Development Transfer Programme, DST, GoI

The Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India, under the Technology Development Programme (TDP) encourages and supports technology development projects which include materials and processes to convert proof of concepts for technologies/techniques/processes/products into advanced prototypes for validation and demonstration in actual field settings. Many projects are currently being implemented at various R&D Organizations in the country. Against the last call for proposal in agro-tech and general technology development programme around 845 proposals were received.

 For initial evaluation of the above proposals, a meeting of Programme Advisory Committee (PAC) on Technology Development Programme under the chairmanship of Prof. Nalinaksh S. Vyas, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-Kanpur) was organized at the Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi on July 11-12, 2019. Prof. Rupinder Tewari, Coordinator, DST-Centre for Policy Research at Panjab University, Chandigarh attended the meeting as an expert in the field, screened the proposals and gave valuable suggestion to help in getting quality proposals for the next round of evaluation.
