Event: Talk during ITEC training program on Biopharmaceuticals

Prof. Rupinder Tewari coordinator DST-Centre for Policy Research was invited to deliver a talk on the topic Strengthening Industry-Academia R&D Regime in Developing Countries at National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), SAS Nagar during the ongoing two-week Intensive Training Program on Recent Trends and Challenges in Biopharmaceuticals from 19th Aug to 29th August 2019. This program has been sponsored by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India under Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC). Participants from various countries (viz., Afghanistan, Bhutan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iraq, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Trinidad & Tobago, Uzbekistan, etc) with the background of Drug Regulatory, Pharmacist and Quality Control and Academia, attended the training.
The scientific staff from DST-CPR, Dr Radhika Trikha, DST-STI-Post-Doc Fellow and Dr Navkiran Kaur, Sr. Scientist C apprised the audience about incentivization schemes for the private sector and BIRAC as a successful PPP model respectively.
